They Did it!!!!

Izy must be one of the nicest persons I have ever come across in my how many years in the biz. Of course 99.99% of our client couples are really nice people but a few just makes you feel really
connected, as if you were old souls who might have been friends since our past lives. Izy is one of them.
I was already booked for the 8PM slot on December 23, 2006 and it was a good thing to find out that her wedding was at 3:00 pm (I sang for her wedding ceremony) and the reception was going to start at most at 6:00 pm, also at Fernwood (Coral Tree).
The deal was for me to have a standby host (Atom) but I was able to be at her wedding reception 'til the end of the program plus a few minutes to spare to puff my Winston and drink my coffee. That's what you call one of life's little miracles!
Izy was married to a professional basketball player - Smyl (short for Ismael). Quite tall ( of course, he is a pro basketball player!) but he looked just the right size to match Izy's height, thanks to the
wonder of high heels, ahihi! They definitely looked great together. Izy has found her mighty protector, for life!
Izy is an "off-shore" bride and we had to constantly e-mail each other to discuss and get things done. I never had a problem at all for we seem to have same brainwave. I instantly felt like a big daddy taking care of my daughter's wedding! Okay, I'm only 35!
Without makeup ( and heels!), Izy could pass for a debutante. Her girlish voice makes her even more youngish than her early 20s. But I knew that behind these delicateness in her, she is a very strong
person who can survive any storm come hell or high waters. I think she is a very determined woman and yet she is as gentle as your baby sister you can't help but truly appreciate her own unique person.
On the day of her wedding, she was the happiest person on earth and God made sure that no glitches would come. She and Smyl were a picture of sheer bliss and you can't help but envy their sweetness!
Izy wanted something Japanese/Zen applied in her wedding's styling. And we were able to pull it off
with a Japanese-inspired cake from Alex Franco, a Japanese-inspired backdrop, plus Japanese
lanterns all over the place. We even bought those small Japanese umbrellas for the cocktails! I wanted to fix my mideastern eyes (and eyebags) to make it really jap, but I didn't look good when I tried it on the mirror, waaahhhhh!!! Oh well, at least I looked like a sumo wrestler. Hahahahahahaha!
Since her wedding is a day before Christmas Eve, we had a puto bumbong stall plus chocolate fountain to boot, for... pica-pica! Only in da Pilipins!
Izy looked perfect in her Elizabeth Saddi gown ( she loved it!!!! )and Smyl looked really macho in his barong, also by Beth. Christmas-colored gowns in red and gold by Michele Ramos gave the wedding a truly Christmassy feel.
The garter was won by a shy 15-year old ( Izy's relative ) and the bouquet was handed to Izy's friend who was of course a little older. We had great fun wholesomely molesting the kiddo!
The highlight of the evening was when Smyl, a really quiet guy, jammed with me and Izy was all smiles... as in super kilig!
I sang "Grow Old With You" for Izy and Smyl's first dance and it was a
blast with those poppers popping at the right time.
Thanks Izy and Smyl for the wonderful day! In behalf of Ces and the rest of the AWP staff,
God bless you both on your journey to a new life as husband and wife.
You just don't know how happy we all were to see you at your most glowing moment.
Cheers!
